The production methods of copper powder mainly include electrolysis, water atomization, and oxidation-reduction methods. The electrolytic production method has a long history and mature technology. The copper powder produced has a dendritic microstructure, developed surface area, high purity, and good formability. However, it is produced by electrolysis.

Copper powder has the disadvantages of serious environmental pollution and high energy consumption. In the production of copper powder, the first alternative to electrolysis is the atomization powder method. By using water atomization powder and subsequent treatment processes such as oxidation-reduction, we have successfully developed low bulk density atomized copper powder that meets environmental protection requirements.
